The Return of Robert Kubica

During the Italian Grand Prix was on, Robert Kubica took his first step back into motor-racing since his big accident in February 2011, were he was heavily injured in a crash on the first stage of the Ronde di Andora rally near Genoa in Italy, were Kubica heavily injured his right arm, hand and leg. The former BWM Sauber and Renault driver took victory on his return to competition in an Italian domestic rally on Sunday.

Robert Kubica was driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza World Rally Car with Giuliano Manfredi, Kubica won all four stages of the Ronde Gomitolo di Lana rally to claim victory by nearly a minute over Omar Bergo's WRC Mini Countryman. I know it's only a domestic rally, but nonetheless an amazing achievement from the former BWM Sauber and Renault F1 driver.

And three weeks ago Robert Kubica took part in a "secret test" with the WRC Ford factory team, behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta RS at the little-known Circuit des Ecuyers test track near the French town of Château-Thierry.

Are we going to see Robert Rubica back in F1? 2013 I highly doubt it. In 2014 maybe, just maybe, time will tell.
