2012 GP2 and GP3 champions news

This post is all about the new 2012 GP2 and GP3 champions.

Davide Valsecchi won the GP2 series championship at Marina Bay Street Circuit, with a race to spare ahead of Luiz Razia in the standings. So where going to see Davide Valsecchi next season? He should be a Formula 1 driver next season having won the GP2 chamionship and have experience of doing a young drivers test for HRT in 2010 and being a reserve drive at Team Lotus (Caterham F1 Team renamed for this season) for 2011 season. If he brings sponsorship like previous champions have done for example Romain Grosjean 2011 GP2 champion (bringing Total sponsorship to Lotus this season) and Pastor Maldonado 2010 GP2 champion (bringing PSDVA/Venezuelan sponsorship to Williams this season and last) he will be in Formula 1 with a Marussia or HRT. If not maybe Indycar Series for 2013 then.

Meanwhile at Monza two weeks back, Mitchell Evans won this years GP3 series championship ahead of Daniel Abt by two points in the standings. We will possibly see Mitchell Evans in a Formula 1 car with Red Bull Racing or/and Scuderia Toro Rosso at Abu Dhabi later in the year in the young drivers test, and more than likely in a top GP2 team or a top Formula Renault 3.5 Series team next season.

So, contractions to the new champions. Bring on 2013. End of blog for how, new blog soon, bye.
