Review of Round 5 of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship at Interlagos in São Paulo, Brazil. And for the first time this season a non overall Audi win for the series went to Toyota. The Toyota Racing team won the race overall and WEC LMP1 class too of Alexander Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre giving the TS030 Hybrid its first pole and first win and a minute ahead of both Audis as-well, at the end of the 6 hours race. Audi Sport Team Joest team of André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyerto finished second place in their Audi R18 e-tron quattro. While, the second Audi of Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Lucas di Grassi took third place in their Audi R18 Ultra.
In LMP2 class, the Starworks Motorsport team of Enzo Potolicchio, Ryan Dalziel and Stéphane Sarrazin in their HPD ARX-03b with a Honda 2.8 litre Turbo V6 engine won in LMP2 class and 7th overall. While in GTE Pro class, was won by AF Corse team of Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni won in their Ferrari 458 GTC, finished 16th overall as-well. While in GTE Am class, was won by Larbre Compétition team of Patrick Bornhauser, Julien Canal and Fernando Rees in their Chevrolet Corvette C6.R and finished 20th overall.
