Review of the fourteenth round of the 2022 MotoGP season at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, on the outskirts of Misano Adriatico in east of Italy for the San Marino GP.
In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Ducati Lenovo Team rider Francesco Bagnaia on his works Ducati Desmosedici GP22.
Second place was Gresini Racing MotoGP rider Enea Bastianini on his Desmosedici GP21, he was four hundenths of a second behind Bagnaia at the end. While, third was Aprilia Racing rider Spain Maverick Viñales on his works Aprilia RS-GP, he was four seconds behind Bagnaia at the end of the race.
In the Moto2 race (Inline-three 765cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Speed Up Racing rider Alonso López on the Boscoscuro. Second was Flexbox HP40 rider Arón Canet on the Kalax, he was twelve tenths of a second behind López at the end. While, third was Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Augusto Fernández on the Kalax, he was three seconds behind López at the end.
While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Leopard Racing rider Dennis Foggia on the Honda. Second was Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Jaume Masià on the KTM, he was three tenths of a second behind Foggia at the end of the race. While, third was GasGas Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara on the GasGas, he was four tenths of a second behind Foggia at the end of the race.
Finally in the MotoE races (a single make class with all the riders riding the Energica Ego MotoE bike), Saturday race was won by Pons Racing 40 rider Mattia Casadei. Second was Dynavolt Intact GP rider Dominique Aegerter, he was a tenth of a second behind Casadei at the end. Second place finish was enough to give Dominique Aegerter the 2022 MotoE title. Dominique Aegerter was thirty-seven and half points ahead of Eric Granado with a race to spare. Contracts to Dominique Aegerter for winning his first MotoE championship.
While, third was Felo Gresini MotoE rider Matteo Ferrari, he was two tenths of a second behind Casadei at the end.
For Sunday race was won by Felo Gresini MotoE rider Matteo Ferrari. Second was Pons Racing 40 rider Mattia Casadei, he was two tenths of a second behind Ferrari at the end. While, third was LCR E-Team rider Eric Granado, he was a seven tenths of a second behind Ferrari at the end.
Finally, it was also confirmed on Tuesday (30/8/22), RNF MotoGP Team has signed both Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández for 2023 MotoGP season replaces both Andrea Dovizioso and Darryn Binder.
Oliveira currently sits eleventh in the standings, with a best finish of winning at Indonesia in March. While, Fernández currently sits twenty-fourth in the standings, with a best finish of twelfth place in Germany back in July.
