On lap 26, Leclerc retook the lead after Verstappen changed his tyres. Leclerc made a second pitstop on lap 34, giving Verstappen the lead, despite a late safety car for Daniel Ricciardo stopped McLaren it was Verstappen race to win this seasons Italian Grand Prix for Max Verstappen's eleventh race win of the season.
