The Japanese Grand Prix was set to be the seventeen round of the season on October 10th. The race is off due to country has local restrictions, travel rules and cases spiking across Japan that make impossible to hold a race this year.
Making it the fifth race to be cancelled this season due to the pandemic following the Chinese, Canadian, Singapore and Australian Grand Prixs'.
Coronavirus, officially named Covid-19, that has killed nearly 4,400,000 people, with over 210,000,000, cases reported.
A second race at Bahrain or a round at the Losail circuit in Qatar are all under consideration as replacements.
