Recap of the last round of WRC from last weekends Round eight of Ypres Rally Belgium.
Last weekends was the eighth round of the World Rally Championship at Ypres Rally Belgium (13th-15th August) that was won by Thierry Neuville in his works Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC.
While, Craig Breen finished second in his works Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, Breen was thirty-one seconds behind Neuville at the end. Meanwhile, Kalle Rovanperä finished third in his works Toyota Yaris WRC, Rovanperä was forty-three seconds behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
Meanwhile in WRC-2 class (Manufacturer entries competing in cars built to Group R5 specifications), that was won by Hyundai Motorsport N driver Jari Huttunen in his Hyundai i20 R5. Jari Huttunen finished in nineteenth place overall, he was twenty-one minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
While in WRC-3 class (Open to privately-entered cars; Group R5, R4, Super 2000 and Group N4 spec cars), that was won by Yohan Rossel in his own backed Citroën C3 Rally2. Yohan Rossel finished in seventh place overall, he was twelve minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
Meanwhile in Junior-WRC class (Competing in identical one-litre Ford Fiesta R2s built and maintained by M-Sport) that was won by Jon Armstrong. Jon Armstrong finished in twentieth place overall, he was twenty-one minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
Next stop, Round Nine of the 2021 WRC season for Acropolis Rally of Greece in four weeks time.
