2019 WTCR Round 5 Recap - Race of Germany

Review of Round Five of the 2019 World Touring Car Cup season was the Race of Germany, at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, west of Germany.

In the first race, BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse driver Norbert Michelisz took the race win in his Hyundai i30 N TCR. Second was ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver Esteban Guerrieri in his Honda Civic Type R TCR (FK8), he was two seconds behind Michelisz in the end. While third place was ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver Néstor Girolami in his Honda Civic Type R TCR (FK8), he was four seconds behind Michelisz in the end.



Meanwhile in the second race, SLR Volkswagen driver Johan Kristoffersson took the race win in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. Second was Comtoyou Team Audi Sport driver Frédéric Vervisch in his Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, he was five seconds behind Kristoffersson in the end. While third place was BRC Hyundai N LUKOIL Racing Team driver Augusto Farfus in his Hyundai i30 N TCR, he was eleven seconds behind Kristoffersson in the end.



Finally in the third race, SLR Volkswagen driver Benjamin Leuchter took the race win in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. Second was Comtoyou Team Audi Sport driver Frédéric Vervisch in his Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, he was half a second behind Leuchter in the end. While third place was ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver Esteban Guerrieri in his Honda Civic Type R TCR (FK8), he was two seconds behind Leuchter in the end.



Next stop Race of Portugal at Circuito Internacional de Vila Real for Round Six of the 2019 World Touring Car Cup season in two weeks time.
