Review of Round Five of the 2019 World Rallycross Championship season was the World RX of Norway, at Lånkebanen Circuit on the outskirts of Hell, in central Norway.
In the four Heats, those were won by Niclas Grönholm (winning three times) and Timmy Hansen.
In the first semi-final that was won by GRX Taneco Team driver Niclas Grönholm in his Hyundai i20. Second was ES Motorsport-Labas GAS driver Kevin Abbring in his Škoda Fabia, he was eight seconds behind Grönholm in the end. While, third was Team STARD driver Jānis Baumanis in his Ford Fiesta MK8, he was nine seconds behind Grönholm in the end.
In the second semi-final that was won by Monster Energy RX Cartel driver Liam Doran in his Audi S1. Second was Team Hansen MJP driver Kevin Hansen in his Peugeot 208, he was two seconds behind Doran in the end. While, third was Team Hansen MJP driver Timmy Hansen in his Peugeot 208, he was two and half seconds behind Doran in the end.
In the final race, GRX Taneco Team driver Niclas Grönholm took the race win in his Hyundai i20. Second was Team Hansen MJP driver Kevin Hansen in his Peugeot 208, he was three tenths of a second behind Grönholm in the end. While, third was Team STARD driver Jānis Baumanis in his Ford Fiesta MK8, he was eight tenths of a second behind Grönholm in the end.
Next stop World RX of Sweden at Höljesbanan Circuit for Round Six of the 2019 World Rallycross Championship season in three weeks time.
