Current MotoGP champion Marc Márquez tested a 2012 Toro Rosso-livered Red Bull F1 car at the Red Bull Ring on Tuesday (5/6/2018).
Márquez's maiden outing in the 2012 Red Bull RB8 took place at the Red Bull Ring on Tuesday Morning, and was arranged by Red Bull.
No lap times were released, but Márquez did completed 43 laps behind the wheel and rumoured his lap times was just over six seconds slower than Felipe Massa's pole time from the 2014 Austrian Grand Prix; but Márquez drove a 2012 'show' car on hard Pirelli demonstration tyres with no DRS, using a V8 engine with no KERS.
While, Márquez's MotoGP team-mate Dani Pedrosa tested the RB8 on Tuesday Afternoon at the Red Bull Ring too. No lap times were released either for Pedrosa too.
Not the first time a MotoGP rider have driven a Formula 1 car, includes Valentino Rossi driven for multiple times for Ferrari between 2006 till 2009 at Fiorano, Barcelona, Valencia and Mugello.
Jorge Lorenzo tested a 2014 Merecedes at Silverstone in 2016.
And Max Biaggi for the Midland (Force India) team in 2006 at Silverstone.
So who's next driving a Formula 1 car from the MotoGP world, Maverick Viñales perhaps?
