Review of Round Four of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season was at Oulton Park's Island Circuit, in Cheshire.
In the first race, Simpson Racing driver Matt Simpson took the race win in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2) and also took Independents class win and the Jack Sears Trophy as-well (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship). Second was Team Shredded Wheat Racing with Gallagher driver Tom Chilton in his Ford Focus RS, he was three tenths of a second behind Simpson in the end. While third place was BMW Pirtek Racing driver Andrew Jordan in his BMW 125i M Sport, he was seven tenths of a second behind Simpson in the end.
Meanwhile in the second race, Team BMW driver Colin Turkington took the race win in his BMW 125i M Sport. Second was Halfords Yuasa Racing driver Matt Neal in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8), he was five seconds behind Turkington in the end. While third place was Team Shredded Wheat Racing with Gallagher driver Tom Chilton in his Ford Focus RS, he was eight seconds behind Turkington in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by AmD with Cobra Exhausts driver Ollie Jackson in his Audi S3 Saloon, he finished in ninth place and was eighteen seconds behind Turkington in the end.
Finally in the third race, Team BMW driver Rob Collard took the race win in his BMW 125i M Sport. Second was BMW Pirtek Racing driver Andrew Jordan in his BMW 125i M Sport, he was four seconds behind Collard in the end. While third place was Team BMW driver Colin Turkington in his BMW 125i M Sport to complete the BMW/WSR podium whitewash, he was seven and half seconds behind Collard in the end.
Meanwhile, Independents class was won by WIX Racing with Eurotech driver Jack Goff in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2), he finished in fourth place and was nine seconds behind Collard in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Trade Price Cars with Brisky Racing driver Mike Bushell in his Volkswagen CC, he finished in eighth place and was seventeen seconds behind Collard in the end.
Next stop Croft for Round Five of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season in three weeks time.
