2017 WTCC Round 9 Recap - Race of Macau

Review of Round Nine of the 2017 World Touring Car Championship season was the Guia Race of Macau, at Guia Circuit, Macau.

In the opening race, Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Mehdi Bennani took the race win in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC and also took the WTCC Trophy win. Second was ROAL Motorsport driver Tom Coronel in his Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1, he was two seconds behind Bennani in the end. While third was Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team driver Ryo Michigami in his Honda Civic WTCC, he was three seconds behind Bennani in the end.



While in the main race, ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver Rob Huff took the race win in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC and also took the WTCC Trophy win. Second was Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team driver Norbert Michelisz in his Honda Civic WTCC, he was eight seconds behind Huff in the end. While third was Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Tom Chilton in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC, he was eight and half seconds behind Huff in the end.



Next stop Race of Qatar at Losail International Circuit for WTCC only night race of the season, for Round Ten and the final round of the 2017 World Touring Car Championship season in two weeks time.
