2017 6 Hours of Bahrain Review, New Champions!

Review of the final Round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship was held at Bahrain International Circuit, in Sakhir, Bahrain.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing team won the race overall and the LMP1 class too of Sébastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Kazuki Nakajima in their Toyota TS050 Hybrid. While, second place was the Porsche Team, with the team of Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber in their Porsche 919 Hybrid, they were a lap behind the leaders at the end of the race are crowned 2017 World Endurance Drivers' Champions. Congratulations to team and drivers for wining this seasons title.



Meanwhile, third place was the Porsche Team of Neel Jani, Nick Tandy and André Lotterer in their Porsche 919 Hybrid, they were a lap behind the leaders at the end of the race.

In LMP2 class (all cars using the Gibson 4.2 L V8 engine), the Vaillante Rebellion team of Julien Canal, Nicolas Prost and Bruno Senna in their Oreca 07 won LMP2 class. They finish in fifth place overall and they were thirteen laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Pro class, was won by AF Corse team of Sam Bird and Davide Rigon won in their Ferrari 488 GTE. They finish in fourteenth place overall and they were twenty-four laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Am class, was won by Aston Martin Racing team of Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda in their Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE. They finish in twenty-first place overall and they were twenty-nine laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

And so this years Champions, in the Drivers Championships, Porsche Team drivers of Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber won this years World Drivers' Championship in in their Porsche 919 Hybrid.



AF Corse drivers James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi won Endurance Cup for GT Drivers title in their Ferrari 488 GTE. Vaillante Rebellion drivers Julien Canal and Bruno Senna won the Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Drivers in their Oreca 07. Aston Martin Racing drivers Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda took the Endurance Trophy for LMGTE Am Drivers in their Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE.

While in this seasons Manufacturers Championships, Porsche won the World Manufacturers' Championship. World Endurance Cup for GT Manufacturers was won by Ferrari.

While in this seasons Teams Championships, Vaillante Rebellion won the Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Teams in their Oreca 07. AF Corse won the Endurance Trophy for LMGTE Pro Teams in their Ferrari 488 GTE. Aston Martin Racing won the Endurance Trophy for LMGTE Am Teams in their Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE.
