Sainz Jr. made his debut with the team in 2015, currently sits fourteenth place in the championship, with a best finish of sixth place during his home Grand Prix in Spain.
Overall, a very good decision from Toro Rosso to keep Carlos Sainz Jr. for next season. Although, there were some rumours he could have gone to Ferrari or Renault next season. In my opinion I would like to see Sainz Jr. took the gamble and drive for Ferrari next season. But, for Carlos Sainz Jr. is maybe better the devil you know and stay at Toro Rosso, which could make Toro Rosso line-up a very strong one going into 2017.
