2016 European Grand Prix Review

Review of the eighth round of the 2016 F1 season at Baku City Circuit in the the centre of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, for the European Grand Prix.

Overall, a dominating race weekend for Mercedes, dominating in practice, dominating in qualifying, and most importantly dominating in the race for Mercedes driver and for Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg. Rosberg was on pole for Sunday's race after current Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton had errors in qualifying. Rosberg took the advantage and dominate the race leading all fifty-one laps including the fastest lap to conclude with a race win in this seasons European Grand Prix for Rosberg's fifth race win of the season.



While, Sebastian Vettel finished in second place in the Ferrari, Vettel was seventeen seconds behind Rosberg at the end.

Meanwhile, Sergio Pérez finished in third place in the Force India to complete the podium, Pérez was twenty-five seconds behind Rosberg at the end of the fifty-one lap race.
