Review of the seventh round of the 2016 F1 season at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal, for the Canadian Grand Prix.
Overall, in an entertaining race, Sebatian Vettel who started on the second row took an incredible lightning start on Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg and took the lead before the first corner.
With Vettel comfortably leading over Hamilton came lap 10 of the race, when Jenson Button retired with a Power unit failure and the virtual safety car deployed, Vettel opted to change tyres while Hamilton stayed out. Then on lap 23, F1 World Champion Hamilton pitted for soft dry tyres to take him to the finish with Vettel retaking the lead. Then on lap 36, Vettel pitted for soft dry tyres giving Hamilton the lead once again.
Despite Vettel catching up to Hamilton at the end that was not enough for Vettel, once again as in Monaco two weeks ago Hamilton took the perfect gamble with tyres to conclude with Lewis Hamilton winning this seasons Canadian Grand Prix for his second race win of the season for the Formula 1 World Champion.
While, Sebastian Vettel finished in second place in the Ferrari, Vettel was five seconds behind Hamilton at the end.
Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas finished in third place in the Williams to complete the podium, Bottas was forty-six seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the seventy lap race.
