Top Six Benetton/Renault/Lotus Renault F1 cars

This season is Lotus (pervious named as Benetton and Renault) twentieth and last season powered by Renault power. As of next season, Lotus will be powered by Mercedes powered. Just like the Top Six McLaren Mercedes F1 cars, this post is Top Six Benetton/Renault/Lotus Renault F1 cars.

Starting with number six:

Number 6: 2004 Renault R24
Story:
The Renault R24 was designed by Mike Gascoyne. Underneath the Renault R24 had a Renault 3 litre V10. The Renault R24 took one Grand Prix win in 2004 for Jarno Trulli only Grand Prix win at that seasons Monaco Grand Prix. Although the Renault R24 never took a drivers' championship or the Constructors' championship. It did took Renault to third place in the Constructors championship in the 2004 season.





Number 5: 1997 Benetton B197
Story:
The Benetton B197 was designed by Pat Symonds and Nick Wirth. Underneath the Benetton B197 had a Renault 3 litre V10. The Benetton B197 took one Grand Prix win in 1997 for Gerhard Berger at that seasons German Grand Prix. Although the Benetton B197 never took a drivers' championship or the Constructors' championship. It did took Benetton to third place in the Constructors championship in the 1997 season.





Number 4: 2013 Lotus E21
Story:
The Lotus E21 was designed by James Allison. Underneath the Lotus E21 had a Renault 2.4 litre V8. The Lotus E21 took one Grand Prix win in 2013 for Kimi Räikkönen at that seasons Australian Grand Prix. Although the Lotus E21 never took a drivers' championship or the Constructors' championship. It did took Lotus to fourth place in the Constructors championship in the 2013 season.





Number 3: 2006 Renault R26
Story:
The Renault R26 was designed by Bob Bell. Underneath the Renault R26 had the new Renault 2.4 litre V8. The Renault R26 took Fernando Alonso to the 2006 F1 Drivers title, while it took Renault to the 2006 F1 Constructors' championship. And the Renault R26 won eight races, seven for Fernando Alonso and one for Giancarlo Fisichella as-well.



Number 2: 1995 Benetton B195
Story:
The Benetton B195 was designed by Rory Byrne and Ross Brawn. Underneath the Benetton B195 had a Renault 3 litre V10. The Benetton B195 took Michael Schumacher to the 1995 F1 Drivers title, while it took Benetton to the 1995 F1 Constructors' championship. And the Benetton B195 won eleven races, nine for Michael Schumacher and two for Johnny Herbert as-well.





Number 1: 2005 Renault R25
Story:
The Renault R25 was designed by Bob Bell. Underneath the Renault R26 had a Renault 3 litre V10. The Renault R25 took Fernando Alonso to the 2005 F1 Drivers title, while it took Renault to the 2005 F1 Constructors' championship to give Renault their first Drivers' and Constructors' title as a Constructor in Formula 1. And the Renault R25 won eight races, seven for Fernando Alonso and one for Giancarlo Fisichella as-well.





And end of an era for both Benetton/Renault/Lotus and Renault
