Comfirmed: Alvaro Bautista stays with Gresini Aprilia until 2016

It was confirmed yesterday (16/9/14) that Alvaro Bautista will race with Aprilia's new MotoGP bike next season after extending his deal with the Gresini team.



Aprilia confirmed last week it is returning to MotoGP next season, having completed a four-year deal with Gresini Racing. Bautista has extended his contract with Gresini until the end of the 2016 season.

Gresini is yet to announce its second rider for next year, with Bautista's current team-mate Scott Redding having announced he will ride with Marc VDS Racing next season, and it's strongly rumoured that World Superbikes Aprilia rider Marco Melandri will be Bautista's team-mate.
