2022 Portugal MotoGP Review

Review of the fifth round of the 2022 MotoGP season at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, on the outskirts of Portimão for the for the Portugal GP.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that race was won by Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider and Current MotoGP Champion Fabio Quartararo on his works Yamaha YZR-M1.



Second was Pramac Racing rider Johann Zarco on his his Ducati Desmosedici GP22, he was five and half seconds behind Quartararo at the end. While, third was Aprilia Racing rider Aleix Espargaró on his works Aprilia RS-GP, he was six seconds behind Quartararo at the end of the race.

In the Moto2 race (Inline-three 765cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Italtrans Racing Team rider Joe Roberts on the Kalex. Second was Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider Celestino Vietti on the Kalex, he was two and half seconds behind Roberts at the end of the race. While, third was Flexbox HP40 rider Jorge Navarro on the Kalax, he was three seconds behind Roberts at the end of the race.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Aspar Team rider Sergio García on the Gas Gas. Second was Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Jaume Masià on the KTM, he was seven hundredths of a second behind García at the end of the race. While, third was Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max rider Ayumu Sasaki on the Husqvarna, he was eleven hundredths of a second behind García at the end of the race.
