2020 8 Hours of Bahrain Review, New Champions!

Review of Round Eight and the final Round of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship was held at Bahrain International Circuit, in Sakhir, Bahrain.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing team won the race overall and the LMP1 class too of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López in their Toyota TS050 Hybrid; Toyota 2.4 L Turbo V6. While, second place was the other Toyota Gazoo Racing to complete a Toyota one-two finish, with the team of Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley in their Toyota TS050 Hybrid, Toyota 2.4 L Turbo V6; they were a minute behind the leaders at the end of the race. While third place was Jackie Chan DC Racing team to complete the podium, with the team of Gabriel Aubry, Will Stevens and Ho-Pin Tung in their Oreca 07, Gibson 4.2 L V8 also took LMP2 class as-well; they were sixteen laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Pro class, was won by Porsche GT Team of Michael Christensen and Kévin Estre won in their Porsche 911 RSR-19. They finish in eighth place overall and they were twenty-eight laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Am class, was won by Team Project 1 of Jörg Bergmeister, Egidio Perfetti and Larry ten Voorde in their Porsche 911 RSR. They finish in thirteenth place overall and they were thirty-one laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

And so this years Champions, in the Drivers Championships, Toyota Gazoo Racing drivers of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López won this years World Drivers' Championship in in their Toyota TS050 Hybrid.



Porsche GT Team drivers Marco Sørensen and Nicki Thiim won Endurance Cup for GT Drivers title in their Aston Martin Vantage AMR. United Autosports drivers Filipe Albuquerque and Philip Hanson won the Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Drivers in their Oreca 07. AF Corse drivers Emmanuel Collard, Nicklas Nielsen and François Perrodo took the Endurance Trophy for LMGTE Am Drivers in their Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

World Endurance Cup for GT Manufacturers was won by Aston Martin.

While in this seasons Teams Championships, Toyota Gazoo Racing won the World Endurance LMP1 Championship in their Toyota TS050 Hybrid. United Autosports team won the Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Teams in their Oreca 07. AF Corse won the Endurance Trophy for LMGTE Am Teams in their Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.
