Review of the tenth round of the 2019 F1 season at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, for the British Grand Prix.
Overall the race itself was enjoyable and entertaining race to watch, Valtteri Bottas was on pole for the British Grand Prix with Current Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton on the front row. At the start Bottas took the lead from Hamilton despite some overtaking attempts from Hamilton it was Bottas holding onto the lead until lap 16 when he stop for tyres. Hamilton stayed in front without changing tyres until lap 18 when the safety car appeared for Antonio Giovinazzi stricken Alfa Romeo when Hamilton pitted for his only pit stop of the day and regain the lead to the end of the race to win this seasons British Grand Prix for Lewis Hamilton's seventh race win of the season.
While, Hamilton's team-mate and Valtteri Bottas finished in second place in the other Mercedes to give the team its seventh one-two finish of the season, Bottas was twenty-five seconds behind Hamilton at the end.
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc finished in third place in the Ferrari to complete the podium, Leclerc was thirty seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the fifty-two lap race.
