2017 British Grand Prix Review

Review of the tenth round of the 2017 F1 season at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, for the British Grand Prix.

Overall, a dominating race weekend for Mercedes, dominating in practice, dominating in qualifying, and most importantly dominating in the race for Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton was on pole for Sunday's race. In a dry overcast British Grand Prix, Hamilton took the advantage at the start and comfortably lead the race throughout to lead all the laps and the fastest lap of the race to conclude with a fifth home race win in this seasons British Grand Prix for Hamilton's fourth race win of the season.



While, Hamilton's team-mate and Valtteri Bottas finished in second place in the other Mercedes to give the team its second one-two finish of the season, Bottas was fourteen seconds behind Hamilton at the end.

Meanwhile, Kimi Räikkönen finished in third place in the Ferrari to complete the podium, Räikkönen was thirty-seven seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the fifty-one lap race.
