Nissan to miss first two WEC rounds, focusing on Le Mans

Nissan announced yesterday (17/3/15) that it will not enter the first two rounds of the World Endurance Championship with its new Nissan GT-R LM Nismo, opting to focus on the 24 Hours of Le Mans instead and the rest of the season.

Nissan has being running into difficulties while testing its new LMP1 race car in pre-season testing in Sebring, with most problems with engine issues with its V6, and confirmed it will not race with the new GT-R LM Nismo at the opening WEC races at Silverstone and Spa.

This is not the first manufacture debut a new race at Le Mans, Toyota previously did the same in 2012, launching their new Toyota TS030 hybrid before the 24 Hours race as-well.

Lets hope Nissan sorts out their problems with the new GT-R LM Nismo shortly, before Le Mans.

End of blog for now. New post soon. Bye.
