Mercedes has unveiled their new GT3 contender that will go on sale to customers in time for later this season. The Mercedes-AMG GT3, which was launched at Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday (3/3/15), will succeeds the old Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 for next season.
The Mercedes-AMG GT3 will have the naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8 engine from the SLS AMG GT3 instead of the 4 litre twin-turbo V8 from the AMG GT road car, that will producing 552bhp, mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox, overall the new AMG GT3 lighter than the old Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.
Mercedes is targeting the end of 2015 for the first customer deliveries for the Mercedes-AMG GT3, that will be ready for the start of the 2016 season.
