BMW confirmed last week (8/10/14) that it will replace its Z4 GT3 with the BMW M6.
It was confirmed from BMW Motorsport division, that development of the new car, which will be released to customers in time for the 2016 season, is already in "full swing" and that testing will begin at the start of 2005.
The M6 will use the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 of the road-going car instead of using the normally-aspirated V8 of the Z4.
It is likely that the M6 will form the basis of the BMW's next GTE-class racer should it decide to stay in the GTLM class of the United SportsCar Championship in seasons to come.
End of Post now, new Post soon. Bye.
