Confirmed: Felipe Massa joins Williams for 2014 Formula 1 season

Felipe Massa will race for the Williams F1 team next year alongside Valtteri Bottas, the team has confirmed. Which means Pastor Maldonado will leave the team at the end of the season.

Felipe Massa has signed a "multi-year" deal with the team, after he became available for 2014 after Ferrari decided to replace him with Kimi Raikkonen, and the team principal Frank Williams revealed it was Massa's experience was a key factor in the decision to sign him.

Felipe Massa will be the sixth Brazilian to race for the team after Ayrton and Bruno Senna, Nelson Piquet, Rubens Barrichello and Antonio Pizzonia.

In my opinion, this was no surprise this deal will happen, after this been rumoured since the Japanese Grand Prix. As for Felipe Massa moving to Williams, good luck to his new challenge at Williams, I think he will suit the team quite well with his good attitude, compared to former Williams drivers of past.

End of blog for now. New post soon. Bye.
