F1 Belgium Grand Prix Review and Motogp IndyGP Review

Good point and bad points of the Belgium Grand Prix

Good points

• Lewis Hamilton (Good win from start to finish minus off-track excursion in the rain, takes the championship lead)
• Mark Webber (on pole finished second, despite lost the championship lead)
• Robert Kubica (started 3rd finished 3rd, overshooting his pit box in the rain for his second stop, might had a change of winning the race)
• Force India (Good team performance Adrian Sutil finished 5th & Vitantonio Luizzi 10th place, but a little 20 second penalty from Jaime Alguersuari)
• Mercedes gp (Nico Rosberg qualified (5 place grid penalty from a gear box change, should have been 12th )16th finished 6th & Michael Schumacher qualified 21st (10 place grid penalty from Hunangoring, should have been 11th) & f 7th)
• Kamui Kobayashi started 17th finished 8th
• Lotus Racing qualifying (Heikki Kovalainen 13th Jarno Trull 15th)
• hrt qualitying ( Bruno Senna 18th Sakon Yamamoto 19th)

Bad points

• Ferando Alonso, Jenson button and Sebastian Vettel, champion hopes fading with their DNFs
• Rubins Barrichello, 300 grand prix finished on the first lap slamming into Alonso at the Bus Stop chicane
• Jamie Alguersuari, cutting the Bus Stop chicane on lap 42, missing out on a world championship point
• Bruno senna, returning to the pits after five laps staying there with a mechanical fault

Overall, the race was a good one I felt. Hamilton and Webber finishing first and second extending the top two in the championship lead by 28 points from second to third, but Hamilton now leading the championship from Webber by three points.

The race insentience with Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button was championship effective on lap 15, on the approach to the Bus Stop chicane, Vettel ran too deep into the corner and lost control, effectively throwing himself into a spin whilst still travelling in a straight line (the collision was similar to his collision with Webber in Istanbul) were Jenson's radiator was, and retiring the 2009 World Champion. And costing for Vettel himself throughout the race, a race to forget for Vettel. As for the incidence it's Vettel fault, very clumsy from the German, that may cost him a world championship this year.

As for Fernando Alonso he retired making an uncharacteristic mistake as he exited the Les Combes-Malmedy complex. Alonso ran wide and strayed onto the artificial grass strip lining the outside of the corner where he lost all grip and spun into the wall, his Ferrari coming to rest perpendicular to the circuit and triggering the safety car. Which will cost him a chance for the world championship. Possibility the chance of Vettel and Button helping Webber and Hamilton for drivers championship, not till it is mathematically impossible.

Also, a mention for Mercedes gp for Michael Schumacher started 21st finished 7th was good performance from the seven times world champion and for Nico Rosberg started 16th finished finished 6th, getting the place from Schumacher right at the end of the race

Good points and bad points of the Indy MotoGP

Good points

• Dani Pedeosa (dominate the race, and won the race)
• Ben Spies (on pole, finished 2nd, top Yamaha driver, on his way to Fiat Yamaha next season a long side Jorge Lorenzo)
• Valentino Rossi (finished 4th, dispute crashing in practice three times)

Bad points

• Jorge Lorenzo (Jorge got a board saying at the start of the race " if you can't fellow me on track follow him on twitter " Finished 3rd, not a worst result, but his lowest finishing position of the season)
• Ducati Team (Casey Stoner dnf, Nicky Hayden on the front role scene his Honda days, but finished 6th, but his bizarre haircut, why?)
• Mika Kaillo, (crashed out again)
• Marco Melandri (crashed out)
• Colin Edwards (mechanical problem)

Overall, Dani Pedrosa dominate the race after the first five laps of Ben Spies leading the race at Indianapolis. Which reduces the gap to championship leader Jorge Lorenzo by 68 points with seven races remanding, with Misano next weekend. Can Dani can catch Jorge, not sure only time will tell. Good weekend for racing. That is all, Bye.
