Motogp review Brno & the doctor at Ducati for 2011

First thing first the review of the race. Overall I felt that the race wasn't a classic race, but still a good race, nobody couldn't stop Jorge Lorenzo apart placing golf (race celebration). Point out the good and bad points of the race at Brno.

Good points:

  • Jorge Lorenzo, dominated the race from lap one, but terrible with the golf celebration.
  • Tech 3 team, good race for both Ben Spies (started 2nd finished 4th) and Colin Edwards (started and finished 7th).
  • Randy de Puniet back from injury from the Sachsenring 28 days ago and finished 10th place.

Bad points:

  • Valentino Rossi, 5th place behind Ben Spies who is in a customer Yamaha and Rossi is a Works driver (more about Rossi later)
  • Repsol Honda team, Dani Pedrosa started on pole finish 2nd, looks like he will not win the Motogp championship, and Andrea Dovizioso who was lucky to escape serious injury when his bike crashed out on lap four. Retired a few laps later.
  • Ducati Team, not with Nicky Hayden 6th place but finishing Casey Stoner finishing 3rd place, will he ever win a race on a Ducati this season before going to Honda next season
  • Suzuki, another bad weekend, Loris Capirossi crashed out early, Alvaro Bautista at the last two corners of the race, a weekend to forget.

Second thing is Valentino Rossi has agreed with Ducati for a two year deal with Ducati. Very predictable he will be at Ducati for a few months now in rumour mills. Rossi going to Ducati means more than likely Ben Spies will be at the Fiat Yamaha next season with Jorge Lorenzo. Rossi leaving will be a shame in my opinion, I fell that Rossi and Yamaha are a perfect match for the last seven seasons developing the best bike on the grid, possibly making a great brand as well in that period. If Ducati wants the same success is doing the same thing as Yamaha done in the past by making the bike a complete handful of a bike to the best bike on the grid. Rossi may bring in Jeremy Burgess and his crew from Yamaha to make it the best bike. Rossi team mate will be more than likely Nicky Hayden be his team mate (team mates at Honda in 03) he will be alright with this compared to Jorge Lorenzo and the wall in-between the Yamaha garage. Possibly Loris Capirossi on a Parmac Ducati (Customer team of Ducati ) possibly the futures bright for Ducati for next season. That is all, bye.
