Overall, the race itself was entertaining race to watch from start to finish. Valtteri Bottas was on pole for Sunday's race ahead of Max Verstappen, while Current Formula 1 World Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton stated in tenth place after starting last in the Sprint race on Saturday. At the hot and sunny São Paulo Grand Prix. Just like last week, Verstappen took the lead going into the first corner, while Hamilton moved up to sixth place at the end of lap one.
Hamilton was third as early on lap 5 ahead of team-mate Bottas, passed Pérez for second on lap 19 after a safety car. Which means behind Verstappen and catching him up rapidly. By lap 48, Hamilton attempted to pass Verstappen for the lead at turn 4, which result both drivers going off road for a moment. And then on lap 59, Hamilton took the lead from Verstappen at turn 4 and stayed there to the end to conclude with a race win in this seasons São Paulo Grand Prix for Sir Lewis Hamilton's sixth race win of the season.
While, Max Verstappen finished in second place in the Red Bull, Verstappen was ten seconds behind Hamilton at the end.
Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas finished in third place in the other Mercedes to complete the podium, Bottas was fourteen seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the seventy-one lap race.
Now with three races to go, Sir Lewis Hamilton win in São Paulo and Max Verstappen only managing a second place finish. Max Verstappen's lead in the F1 Drivers' Standings has been reduce from nineteen points to fourteen points ahead of Sir Lewis Hamilton in the standings with three races to go.
While Mercedes still leads F1 Constructors' Standings, the gap is now improved from one point to eleven points from Red Bull who are second in the Constructors' Standings with three races to go.
