2019 DTM Round 1 Recap

Review of Round One of the 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season was held at the Hockenheimring, Hockenheim, in South-West Germany.

On Saturday's race, BMW Team RMG driver Marco Wittmann took the race win in his BMW M4 Turbo DTM. Second was Audi Sport Team Phoenix driver Mike Rockenfeller in his Audi RS5 Turbo DTM, he was fourteen seconds behind Wittmann in the end. While, third place was Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline driver Robin Frijns in his Audi RS5 Turbo DTM, he was thirty-five seconds behind Wittmann in the end.



On Sunday's race, Audi Sport Team Rosberg driver René Rast took the race win in his Audi RS5 Turbo DTM. Second was Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline driver Nico Müller in his Audi RS5 Turbo DTM, he was under twelve seconds behind Rast in the end. While, third place was Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline driver Robin Frijns in his Audi RS5 Turbo DTM to complete an Audi podium whitewash, he was twelve seconds behind Rast in the end.



Next stop Circuit Zolder, Heusden-Zolder in Belgium for Round Two of the 2019 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters in two weeks time.
