Good points
- Mercedes (Nico Rosberg, pole to race win; Lewis Hamilton, finished 3rd, despite qualified in 20th place, after front right brake failure in qualifying)
- Valtteri Bottas (finished 2nd)
- Red Bull Racing (Sebastian Vettel, finished 4th; Daniel Ricciardo, finished 6th)
- Nico Hülkenberg (finished 7th)
- Jules Bianchi (finished 15th on race day, ahead of Marussia team-mate Max Chilton, and both Caterham drivers)
Bad points
- Kimi Räikkönen (finished 11th)
- Felipe Massa (DNF, Collision with Kevin Magnussen)
- Adrian Sutil (DNF, Brakes)
- Daniil Kvyat (DNF, Oil leak)
- Romain Grosjean (DNF, Water leak)
Overall, I thought it was a good race to watch. And a dominating race win from championship leader Nico Rosberg, pole on Saturday, lead all the laps, to conclude with a Grand Prix win at his home race becoming the first German driver to win the German Grand Prix with a German Constructor. And the first home Grand Prix win for Mercedes since 1954 at the old Nürburgring Nordschleife with Juan Manuel Fangio.
While, Valtteri Bottas finished in second place in the Williams, continuning from Silverstone.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes finish on the final step of the podium in third place. Despite, qualified 16th place (moved to 20th place after penalties), with a front right brake failure in qualifying.
And so this weekends Hungarian Grand Prix at Hungaroring outside of Budapest. Predictions for the race. And I predict that Lewis Hamilton for the win in the Mercedes, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull for second place. And Valtteri Bottas third in the Williams. Don't forget Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Felipe Massa, the two Ferrari drivers, the two McLaren drivers or the two Force India drivers for a podium as well.
End of blog for now, new post soon. Bye.
