Kodewa-based Lotus squad's new T129 LMP1-L World Endurance Championship challenger has withdrawn its as-yet-unraced LMP1 prototype from next month's 24 Hours of Le Mans it was confirmed on Tuesday (20/5/14).
The AER-engined Lotus T129, which was absent from the first two events in the World Endurance Championship, has been pulled out of the Le Mans round on June 14/15 because the car is not yet complete due to the delay of the new 2 litre twin-turbo V6 produced by AER (Advanced Engine Research) that forced a substantial redesign of the rear end of the car, including the monocoque.
No word yet when the T129 will debut, more than likely in mid-September at Austin for the 6 Hours of Circuit of the Americas race.
End of blog for now, new post soon. Bye
