Before the race weekend started (1/5/14), it was announced that Bridgestone will withdrawing supply tyres to the MotoGP top tier at the end of 2015.
Bridgestone will cease to supply tyres to the MotoGP World Championship at the end of 2015 MotoGP season, it has been announced.
Bridgestone first entered MotoGP in 2002 with Proton KR and Kanemoto Racing teams, and since 2009 has been the official tyre supplier for all the teams. However, as the Japanese manufacturer has now achieved all of its objectives, the decision has been taken to exit.
No word yet on who will replace them in 2016, don't be surprise for a return of Michelin or Dunlop to top tier of MotoGP as the official tyre supplier.
End of blog for now. New post soon. Bye.
