Review of the V8 Supercars round of the 2012 Bathurst 1000 at the famous Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales. The team of Mark Winterbottom and Steven Richards won the 166 lap race overall in their Ford Performance Racing, Ford FG Falcon. Second place was Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell in their Triple Eight Race Engineering-Red Bull Racing Australia, Holden VF Commodore, just 0.47 of a second behind the leaders at the end. Meanwhile, the other Triple Eight Race Engineering-Red Bull Racing Australia of Craig Lowndes and Warren Luff finished third place in their Holden VF Commodore.
