Confirmed: Williams using Mercedes-Benz turbo engines from 2014 on a long-term deal

As predicted from the pervious post I've posted, has been announced this morning that Williams F1 Team has signed a long-term engine partnership with with Mercedes to supply the team their new 1.6 litre V6 turbo engines from the start of the 2014 F1 season. However, Williams will design and manufacture its own transmission.

In my opinion, this is no major surprise that the news has happen today. As this has been rumoured for the past week that Williams will be swapping over from Renault to Mercedes-Benz from the 2014 onwards.

This is a very good deal for Williams, as I believe the long-term deal with Mercedes is good as they haven't had a long-term engine deal with any Manufacture since the BMW days. This is a good deal for Williams for a few seasons to come.

End of blog for how, new post soon. Bye.
