2013 France MotoGP Review

Review of the round four of the 2013 MotoGP season at Le Mans Bugatti track in Le Mans, in central France.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Repsol Honda Team rider Dani Pedorsa, in his works Honda RC213V, and won the race in wet conditions. Second place was Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Cal Crutchlow on his satellite spec Yamaha YZR-M1, Crutchlow was under 5 seconds behind Pedorsa at the end. While, third place was Pedrosa's team-mate and 2012 Moto2 Champion Marc Márquez in his works Honda RC213V, he was nearly 7 seconds behind Pedorsa at the end.

In CRT class (Claiming Rule Teams, street bike engines rather than non prototype engines), the Power Electronics Aspar rider Aleix Espargaró won CRT class and finished 13th overall in his ART (Aprilia), he was over 84 seconds behind Pedorsa at the end.

In the Moto2 race (Inline-four 600 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Marc VDS Racing Team rider Scott Redding on the Kalex, to give his first ever Moto2 race win. Second was the other Marc VDS Racing Team rider Mika Kallio on the Kalex, he was over a second behind team-mate Redding at the end. While, third was Desguaces La Torre Maptaq rider Xavier Siméon on the Kalex, he was also over a second behind Redding at the end of the race.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Team Calvo rider Maverick Viñales on the KTM. Second was Estrella Galicia rider Álex Rins on the KTM, he was over a second behind Viñales at the end of the race. While, third was was Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Luis Salom on the KTM, he was also over a second behind Viñales at the end of the race.
