Lola-Drayson B12/69EV

Basically a Lola B08/60 chassis, but instead of having a petrol or diesel engine it will have an all electric engine. The Lola-Drayson B12/69EV is a electric powered vehicles is aiming to break lap records for electric powered car at tracks around the world. Also, in 2013 the car will be entering into the FIA Formula E Championship for electric powered vehicles.



Lola-Drayson B12/69EV is a joint project between Lola and Drayson Racing who have perviously raced at Le Mans in 2010 with aa Lola B08/60 LMP1 car, which was powered by a 5.5 litre V10 bio-fuelled Judd engine.

Built around the current Lola LMP1chassis, the new vehicle uses a DRT (Drayson Racing Technology) electric drivetrain to generate 850 bhp and Cosworth will provide electronic control system. 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds, 0-100 mph in 5.1 seconds and a maximum speed of nearly 200 mph. The weight of the car is 1000kg, 100kgs heaver than a current LMP1 car.

The Lola-Drayson B12/69EV was launched at Birmingham in early 2012, Lord Paul Drayson stated what he wanted to do with Lola-Drayson B12/69EV, which includes doing FIA Formula E Championship in 2013. As these two videos below states.
