Confirmed: Fernando Alonso returns to contest Indianapolis 500 in 2020

It was confirmed of Tuesday (25/2/20) Fernando Alonso will contest next seasons Indianapolis 500 with McLaren once again.



The former double F1 world champion will once again make a one-off entry at Indianapolis with Arrow McLaren SP team, as he did in 2017 and 2019.

If Alonso wins Indy 500 next season, he will achieve motorsport's 'Triple Crown': victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans 24 Hours (only Graham Hill has only achieve this in history).

In my opinion, no surprises that Fernando Alonso competing in the Indy 500 this season.
