2016 World RX Round 7 Recap - World RX of Canada

Review of Round Seven of the 2016 World Rallycross Championship season was the World RX of Canada, at Circuit Trois-Rivières located in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada.

In the four Heats, those were won by current World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg (winning three times) and Johan Kristoffersson.



In the first semi-final that was won by Petter Solberg World RX Team driver and current World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg in his Citroën DS3. Second was Volkswagen RX Sweden driver Johan Kristoffersson in his Volkswagen Polo, he was five seconds behind Solberg in the end. While, third was Volkswagen RX Sweden driver Anton Marklund in his Volkswagen Polo, he was seven seconds behind Solberg in the end.

In the second semi-final that was won by Hoonigan Racing Division driver Andreas Bakkerud in his Ford Focus RS. Second was EKS RX driver Toomas Heikkinen in his Audi S1, he was over a second behind Bakkerud in the end. While, third was Team Peugeot-Hansen driver Timmy Hansen in his Peugeot 208, he was three seconds behind Bakkerud in the end.

In the final race, Team Peugeot-Hansen driver Timmy Hansen took the race win in his Peugeot 208. Second was Hoonigan Racing Division driver Andreas Bakkerud in his Ford Focus RS, he was a second behind Hansen in the end. While, third was Volkswagen RX Sweden driver Johan Kristoffersson in his Volkswagen Polo, he was fifteen tenths of a second behind Hansen in the end.



Next stop World RX of France at Circuit de Lohéac for Round Eight of the 2016 World Rallycross Championship season in four weeks time.<
