Review of Round Three of the 2016 World Touring Car Championship season was the Race of Hungary, at Hungaroring, on the outskirts of Budapest.
In the first race, Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Mehdi Bennani took the race win in his Honda Citroën C-Elysée WTCC and also took Independents class win. Second was Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Tom Chilton in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC, he was three seconds behind Bennani in the end. While third place was Lada Sport Rosneft driver Nick Catsburg in his Lada Vesta WTCC, he was six seconds behind Bennani in the end.
While in the second race, Citroën Total WTCC driver and current WTCC Champion José María López took the race win in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC. Second was Citroën Total WTCC driver Yvan Muller in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC to complete a one-two Citroën finish, he was three seconds behind López in the end. While third was Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team driver Tiago Monteiro in his Honda Civic WTCC, he was fifteen seconds behind López in the end.
Meanwhile in the Independent Class, was won by Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Tom Chilton in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC. He finished in fifth place overall and he was twenty seconds behind López in the end.
Next stop Race of Morocco at the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan for Round Four of the 2016 World Touring Car Championship season in two weeks time.
