SRT Tomahawk Gran Turismo concept
Two weeks ago, Dodge's SRT division and the creators of Gran Turismo teamed up to make the SRT Tomahawk concept, which is another car in the Vision Gran Tursimo series for GT6. And according to SRT, the SRT Tomahawk has been designed with one aim: "to test the limits of human physiology". And yes it's only a concept car.
First of all, the car has been designed to be as low as possible. While the SRT Tomahawk has nine active aero panels and two front splitters, an exhaust system that works with the aero, and exposed aluminium channels to direct air that cool the engine.
But, there is more, there is three different SRT Tomahawk specs. The SRT Tomahawk S has the engine a 7.0 litre V10 from the Dodge Viper that produces 792bhp to the rear, with a further 215bhp from the front wheels from its hybrid system is not electric, but pneumatic, a big tank of compressed air that drives the front axle. Ford returns to Le Mans with the Ford GT
It was announced on Friday (12/6/15) that Ford it will return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, with the new Ford GT. With the new Ford GT racing in LMGTE Pro will see it go head-to-head with factory rivals Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette and Aston Martin.
Ford will compete in the the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and United SportsCar Championship next year with Chip Ganassi Racing building the new Ford GT which include the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 from Ford's EcoBoost line-up, as used in the USC and Michelin who will be supplying the tyres.
While the Ford GT will make its debut in next January's Daytona 24 Hours.
The reborn Ford GT will mark the 50th anniversary of Ford taking a one-two-three finish at Le Mans with the iconic GT-40 in 1966 with Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon winning the race. While Ford winning three more 24 Hours wins with the GT40 until 1969.
Overall, I think its great news that Ford will be racing with the all new Ford GT at Le Mans and all around the world with a little help from Chip Ganassi Racing, in-which for a team of Ganassi Racing calibre this will be a new challenge for the team, instead of winning races in America now they have to win races around the globe were they have not gone before.
Secondly, it will be a very tough challenge ahead for Ford in 2016, challenging the likes of rivals of Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette and Aston Martin in winning the LMGTE Pro class. But in 2017 they could be fighting for wins around the world.
And finally, the Ford GT has got to live up to with the Ford GT 40 from 50 years. Yes, the old Ford GT 40 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times outright between 1966 till 69. This Ford GT will be going for LMGTE Pro class wins only.
The final question is this, will the new Ford GT will outperform Ferrari and Porsche in LMGTE Pro next year at Le Mans like the old Ford GT 40 did 50 years back beating the Ferraris' and Porshces' of past? time will tell if history repeats itself again.
End of blog for now, new post soon, bye.

Audi R18 e-tron quatrro vs Toyota TS030 Hybrid vs Porsche 918 Hybrid vs Nissan GT-R LM Nismo, that means 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 predictions
The 24 hours of Le Mans race is this weekend. Starts from 2pm (UK time) Saturday finishes on 2pm Sunday I am going to try to tweet most I can in the 24 hours (Twitter page here). Prediction for the race? it's going to be a battle between Audi R18 e-tron quattros', Porsche 918 Hybrids', Toyota TS030 Hybrids', and the Nissan GT-R LM Nismos'.
Qualifying for the race is finished and the Porsche 918 Hybrid of Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb are on pole, a first pole for Porsche at Le Mans since 1997. The second Porsche 918 Hybrid of Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley is on the front row as-well in second place; nine tenths of a second behind the pole sitter. While the third Porsche 918 Hybrid of Nico Hülkenberg, Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy will start in third place; two seconds behind the pole sitters.
While, the first Audi e-tron quattro of Lucas di Grassi, Loïc Duval and Oliver Jarvis will start in forth place on the grid; three seconds behind the pole sitter.
While, the first Toyota TS030 Hybrid of Alexander Wurz, Stéphane Sarrazin, and Mike Conway will start in seventh place on the grid; six and a half seconds behind the pole sitter.
And finally, the first Nissan GT-R LM Nismo of Harry Tincknell, Michael Krumm and Alex Buncombe will start in twelve place on the grid; twenty seconds behind the pole sitter.
So predictions for the race, I predict that for the first time since 1998 it will be a Porsche win at Le Mans of the the Porsche 918 Hybrid of Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb, and that is in honest opinion who will win this years 24 hour race. However, I wouldn't count out the Audi's to succeeded once again. While, Toyota's will be long shot as so far in testing they look too slow. As for Nissan, too slow (what I mean they are slow as a leading LMP2 car) in testing coming into Le Mans, there is no chance in hell they will win this year.
End of blog for now. New post soon. Bye.

60 years on, 24 Hours of Le Mans Disaster
Today, it will be 60 years that the 1955 Le Mans disaster occurred during the 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans motor race, when a crash caused large fragments of racing car debris to fly into the crowd on the main straight at Le Mans. Eighty-three spectators and driver Pierre Levegh perished at the scene with 120 more injured in the most catastrophic accident in motorsport history.
It should always be remembered that motorsport is dangerous sport. No matter what era it is, no matter whatever if its Go-Karting, motorbikes, Formula 1, Indy Car, any kind of Motorsport is dangerous. But with that horrific disaster from 60 years ago. It made the sport, gradually year by year with the likes of Jackie Stewart, the FIA, so forth making the pit lane's around the world safer, expanding the widths of the tracks, a much wider space between track and fans it made motorsport more safer between tracks, fans, spectators, tracks marshals, people in pits, cars and drivers too.
Never forget the Eighty-three spectators and Pierre Levegh.
