Lorenzo staying at Yamaha for two more seasons

It was confirmed yesterday (7/8/14) and news that was expected, Jorge Lorenzo has agreed a new two-year deal with the factory Movistar Yamaha team in MotoGP in 2015 and 2016.

The 2010 and 2012 MotoGP Champion has spent his entire MotoGP career with Yamaha, which first signed him for the 2008 season after he won back-to-back 250cc titles. He has won 31 races with the team in addition to his two titles.

With Jorge Lorenzo's contract extension means the factory Honda and Yamaha teams go into 2015 season with unchanged line-ups, with team-mate Valentino Rossi having announced his new deal last month and Honda retaining Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. But Lorenzo was the last of MotoGP's "big four" to finalize his 2015 contract.

End of blog for now, new post soon. Bye.
