Despite Peugeot have pulled out endurance racing back in early in 2012. But, Peugeot does have a rally history with great examples of cars with victories under them like the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 (1985 and 1986 WRC Manufacture Champions), Peugeot 206 WRC (2000, 2001 and 2002 WRC Manufacture Champions), Peugeot 307 WRC (three times WRC rally wins), Peugeot 207 Super 2000 (2007, 2008 and 2009 IRC Manufacture Champions) and so forth.
Now Peugeot have brought out the New Peugeot 208 R5 Rally Car for Group R in WRC for 2013. Basically Group R will replace Group A, Group N and later on in time S2000 class. You will basically see these Group R cars in the new WRC2 class for 2013 and onwards.
The 2013 Peugeot 208 Type R5 Rally Car was launch early in the year at the Paris Motor Show. The 208 R5 has a 1.6 litre 4-cylinders turbo engine that produces around 260 bhp and top speed around the 155 mph mark.

Lets hope this Peugeot has the winning car like its predecessors before.
