Second Blog this week, which includes Lotus and Renault

Right the second Blog of two blogs this week, this one is about news from the last few days, which includes posable Lotus and Renault tie up.

In other news this week, Formula 1 and besides Formula 1 with other championships

Robin Frijins wins the last European Formula BMW championship. I think Robin going to be in Formula 3 or GP3 next season with a top team.

Esteban Gutierrez wins GP3 championship.Winning the first ever championship of the series. Esteban will be in GP2 next season, possibly with the same team he won the championship in this season GP3 championship (ART). Also he has connections with Sauber, he will possibly get a couple test sessions at Abu Dhabi later in the year.

Pastor Maldonado wins GP2 championship with a round to spare. So were we going to see him next season? His talented driver, but I think he needs a bit of Venezuelan money may help him to get a drive, where possibly a team like Sauber or Virgin maybe. But, don't forget not all GP2 champions doesn't go into Formula 1 remember Giorgio Pantano (he did drive for Jordan in 2004).

Specking of Sauber, Nick Hiedfied will be replacing Pedro de la Rosa for the rest of the season, starting at Singapore on 26th September.

Lotus will teaming up with Renault next season

Lotus will be possibly teaming up with Renault next season. This will includes the whole drivetrain, which includes engine, gearbox and kers system. The contract will be a two year deal, replacing the deal they had with Cosworth.

Tony Fernandes of Lotus Racing, felt it was more around gearboxes area they wasn't satisfied with this. Lotus, Virgin and HRT uses a Xtrac gearbox which it's hasn't been reliable this season, nor in last weekends Italian Grand Prix with Jarno Trilli (Lotus) and Timo Glock (Virgin), whereas Williams uses their own gearbox. Tony wasn't really satisfy with the engine when speaking on the BBC, when he was interview on Sunday.

Also, there is a possibility that Tony Fernandes's team will be rebranded as ' Team Lotus' returning one of the sports famous name back onto the grid next season.

Also, Mark Smith the design director for this seasons Force India car, will be joining Lotus next season designing the car alongside Mike Gascoyne (who been work mates at Renault, Jordan and Force India).

Tony Fernandes will also like to bring a team into GP2 next season, if possible, so they can develop drivers and mechanics the lower formula, so they can be in Formula 1 in seasons to come.

With these updates such as bring in Mark Smith, as well bringing in the Renault package. This will bridge the gap to the likes of Toro Rosso, Sauber, Williams and Force India. And with new tyre supplier Pirelli, who will come next season in Formula 1 replacing Bridgestone for all teams. As well they need to keep their their current drivers (Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovaliainen) next season this will give a good opportunity to get points next season. As for this season, they done well coming in late building the car. There target for the rest of the season, is to finish 10th in the F1 constructors championship ahead of Virgin and HRT.

And So, with Lotus and Renault making the deal together are we gonna have another fastest ever Lotus (since the 1986 Lotus Renault, Lotus T98, a 1.5 litre Renault engine that produced over 1000 bhp) doubt it, but will it be a fast Lotus, who knows, that is all, bye.
