Confirmed: Alfa Romeo Racing retains both Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi till 2021

It was confirmed earlier today (30/10/20) that Alfa Romeo Racing will retain both Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi for next season.

Giovinazzi currently sits sixteenth place in the Drivers' standings, best finish of ninth place at the Red Bull Ring back in July. While, Räikkönen currently sits seventeenth place in the Drivers' standings, best finish of ninth place at Mugello back in September.

Overall, not a surprise this deal has happen, it has been rumoured that both drivers had already signed a few Grand Prixs' ago.

All go for Alfa Romeo going into 2021.

2020 F1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Predictions

For the first time in fourteen years, Formula 1 returns to the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix (the previous name Dino Ferrari/Italian/San Marino Grand Prix would have worked better), the home Grand Prix for both Ferrari and AlphaTauri teams and home Grand Prix for Antonio Giovinazzi.

So Predictions for the race, for the win, I predict Lewis Hamilton for the race win in the Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas second in the other Mercedes, and third place for Max Verstappen in the Red Bull. Don't forget Alexander Albon, the Renault drivers, the McLaren drivers, Pierre Gasly, the Racing Point drivers, and the Ferrari drivers as-well for a podium place.

Confirmed: Scuderia AlphaTauri retains Pierre Gasly till 2021

It was confirmed earlier today (28/10/20), that Scuderia AlphaTauri will retain Pierre Gasly through to the end of the 2021 Formula 1 season, on a one year deal.

Gasly currently sits ninth place in the Drivers' standings, best finish of a Grand Prix win at Monza back in September.

No word, who will be Gasly's team-mate yet, strongly rumoured it will be Formula 2 driver Yuki Tsunoda who could replace Daniil Kvyat at the team next season.

Overall, a very good decision from AlphaTauri to keep Pierre Gasly for next season. Very surprise he wasn't promoted to the main Red Bull seat alongside Max Verstappen.

Overall, it's AlphaTauri advantage going into 2021.

2020 24 hours of Spa race review

Last weekend was the annual 24 hours of Spa race (24-25th October). The Rowe Racing team in their Porsche 911 GT3 R; with Frédéric Makowiecki, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy came out on top to win this years 24 hours of Spa race in 527 laps in total.

While the Audi Sport Team Attempto team came in second place in their Audi R8 LMS GT3; with team of Mattia Drudi, Patric Niederhauser and Frédéric Vervisch as drivers. They were five seconds behind the leaders at the end of the 24 hour race.

While the Dinamic Motorsport team came in third place in their Porsche 911 GT3 R; with Matteo Cairoli, Christian Engelhart and Sven Müller as drivers, they were twenty-nine seconds behind the leaders at the end of the 24 hours race.

2020 BTCC Round 8 Recap

Review of Round Eight of the 2020 British Touring Car Championship season was at Snetterton Circuit on the 300 Course, in Norfolk.

In the first race, Team BMW driver and current BTCC Champion Colin Turkington took the race win in his BMW 330i M Sport. Second was Toyota Gazoo Racing UK with Ginsters driver Tom Ingram in his Toyota Corolla, he was two and half seconds behind Turkington in the end. While third place was MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square drive Jake Hill in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2) and also took Independents class win, he was five seconds behind Turkington in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship) was won by The Clever Baggers with BTC Racing driver Michael Crees in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8), he finished in tenth place and was twenty-five seconds behind Turkington in the end.


Meanwhile in the second race, Team BMW driver and current BTCC Champion Colin Turkington took the race win in his BMW 330i M Sport. Second was Toyota Gazoo Racing UK with Ginsters driver Tom Ingram in his Toyota Corolla, he was fifteen tenths of a seconds behind Turkington in the end. While third place was Laser Tools Racing driver Ash Sutton in his Infiniti Q50 and also took Independents class win, he was two seconds behind Turkington in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by The Clever Baggers with BTC Racing driver Michael Crees in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8), he finished in forteenth place and was eight seconds behind Turkington in the end.


Finally in the third race, Motorbase Performance driver Ollie Jackson took the race win in his Ford Focus ST Mk.IV and also took Independents class win as-well. Second was Carlube TripleR Racing with Mac Tools driver Adam Morgan in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class, he was two tenths of a second behind Jackson in the end. While third place was Team BMW driver and current BTCC Champion Colin Turkington in his BMW 330i M Sport, he was five seconds behind Jackson in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by The Clever Baggers with BTC Racing driver Michael Crees in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8), he finished in forteenth place and was twenty-one seconds behind Jackson in the end.

2020 Teruel MotoGP Review

Review of the twelfth round of the 2020 MotoGP season at Motorland Aragón, on the outskirts of Alcañiz in east of Spain for the Teruel GP.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Franco Morbidelli on his Yamaha YZR-M1.

Second was Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Álex Rins on his works Suzuki GSX-RR, he was two seconds behind Morbidelli at the end.

While, third was Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Joan Mir on his works Suzuki GSX-RR, he was five seconds behind Morbidelli at the end.

In the Moto2 race (Inline-three 765cc four-stroke class), that race was won by EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider Sam Lowes on the Kalex. Second was +Ego Speed Up rider Fabio Di Giannantonio on the Speed Up, he was eight seconds behind Lowes at the end. While, third was Italtrans Racing Team rider Enea Bastianini on the Kalex, he was eleven seconds behind Lowes at the end.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Leopard Racing rider Jaume Masiá on the Honda. Second was Red Bull KTM Tech 3 rider Ayumu Sasaki on the KTM, he was five hundredth of a second behind Masiá at the end of the race. While, third was Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Kaito Toba on the KTM, he was a tenth of a second behind Masiá at the end of the race.

2020 Portuguese Grand Prix Review

Review of the twelfth round of the 2020 F1 season held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, on the outskirts of Portimão, for the Portuguese Grand Prix.

Overall the race itself was a good race to watch. Current Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton on pole for Sunday's race. At the start it was team-mate Valtteri Bottas took the lead at the start, until lap 20 when Hamilton for the lead. That Hamilton never looked back; lead all rest of the laps, to win this seasons Portuguese Grand Prix for Lewis Hamilton's eighth Grand Prix win of the season.

That was Lewis Hamilton's ninety-second Grand Prix win taking the overall record from Michael Schumacher for most Grand Prix wins.



Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas finished in second place in the Mercedes to give the team its fourth one-two finish of the season, Bottas was twenty-five seconds behind Hamilton at the end.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen finished in third place in the Red Bull to complete the podium, Verstappen was thirty-five seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the sixty-six lap race.

Now with five races to go, Lewis Hamilton win at Portimão, and Valtteri Bottas finishing second, Lewis Hamilton's lead of the F1 Drivers' Standings has been improve from sixty-nine points to seventy-seven points ahead of team-mate Valtteri Bottas in the standings with five races to go.

While Mercedes still leads F1 Constructors' Standings, the gap is now improved from one hundred and eighty-four points to two hundred and nine points ahead of Red Bull who are second in the Constructors' Standings with five races to go.

Mercedes could win their seventh Constructors' Championship at Imola. Mercedes needs to score ten points more than Red Bull to win the title at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
