Rosberg made the switch to the team in 2010 after four seasons at Williams, has so far claimed nineteen Grand Prix victories with the team, also finishing as runner-up to Lewis Hamilton in the championship in 2014 and 2015, and currently leads the drivers' championship, with a best finish of five Grand Prix wins. While Rosberg remains as Lewis Hamilton team-mate for the next two seasons.

Overall, a very good decision from Mercedes to keep Nico Rosberg for next two season. Not surprising it has been heavily rumoured Rosberg will remain with the team till 2018. Now with Nico Rosberg till 2018. The top three teams are locked all locked in for their drivers for 2017. Meaning most of the midfield teams will be focused who goes where drivers go in Formula 1 in 2017.
