It was confirmed on Friday afternoon (1/11/15) that Ferrari test-driver and former Sauber driver Esteban Gutiérrez will race with the all new Haas F1 Team as their second driver alongside Lotus driver Romain Grosjean, during a press conference in Mexico City before this weekends Mexican Grand Prix.
Gutiérrez, enjoyed two-years racing with Sauber from 2013-2014. Gutiérrez took on a test and reserve role with Ferrari for this season after losing his driver at Sauber.
Gutiérrez will return to the grid to the new Haas F1 Team, which holds a technical partnership with Ferrari next season and Gutiérrez will bring in sponsorship from Mexico.
In my opinion, this is not a big surprise this news happen. It has been strongly rumoured since the Belgium Grand Prix that Gutiérrez has signed a deal with Haas. Also, it would be a second chance in Formula 1 for Gutiérrez after two fruitless years at Sauber before.
A new challenge ahead for Esteban Gutiérrez in 2016.
End of post for now, new post soon, bye.
