F1 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Predictions

Predictions for this weekends Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix at Baku City Circuit in the the centre of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

So Predictions for the race, and for the win I predict Max Verstappen for the race win in the Red Bull, Sergio Pérez second in the other Red Bull, and third place for Sir Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes. Don't forget George Russell, Kevin Magnussen, Valtteri Bottas, the Ferrari drivers, the McLaren drivers, the Alpine drivers, and the AlphaTauri drivers as-well for a podium place.

2022 WRC Round 5 recap - Rally d'Italia Sardegna

Recap of the last round of WRC from this weekends Round Five of Rally d'Italia Sardegna.

Last weekends was the fifth round of the World Rally Championship at the Rally d'Italia Sardegna (2nd-5th June), that was won Ott Tänak in his works Hyundai i20 N Rally1.



While, Craig Breen finished second in his works Ford Puma Rally1. Breen was a minute behind Tänak at the end of the rally. Meanwhile, Dani Sordo finished third in his works Hyundai i20 N Rally1, Sordo was a minute and a half behind Tänak at the end of the rally.

Meanwhile in WRC-2 class (Manufacturer entries competing in cars built to Rally2 specifications), that was won by Toksport WRT 2 driver Nikolay Gryazin in his Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo. Nikolay Gryazin finished in seventh place overall, he was seven and half minutes behind Tänak at the end of the rally.

While in WRC-3 class (Open to privately-entered cars; Rally3 spec cars), that was won by Jan Černý in his own backed Ford Fiesta Rally3. Jan Černý finished in twenty-fifth place overall, he was thirty-four minutes behind Tänak at the end of the rally.

Next stop, Round Six of the 2022 WRC season for Safari Rally Kenya in three weeks time.

2021/22 Formula E World Championship - Jakarta ePrix - Round 6 Recap

Review of Round Six of the 2021-22 Formula E season held at the Jakarta International e-Prix Circuit in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The race was won by Jaguar TCS Racing driver Mitch Evans in his Spark-Jaguar. Second was DS Techeetah driver Jean-Éric Vergne in his Spark-DS, he was seven tenths of a second behind Evans in the end. Meanwhile, third was ROKiT Venturi Racing driver Edoardo Mortara in his Spark-Mercedes, he was a second behind Evans in the end.

2022 Catalunya MotoGP Review

Review of the ninth round of the 2022 MotoGP season at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in the outskirts of Barcelona, Catalonia, in Spain.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that race was won by Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider and Current MotoGP Champion Fabio Quartararo on his works Yamaha YZR-M1.



Second was Pramac Racing rider Jorge Martín on his his Ducati Desmosedici GP22, he was six and half seconds behind Quartararo at the end. While, third was Pramac Racing rider Johann Zarco on his his Ducati Desmosedici GP22, he was eight seconds behind Quartararo at the end of the race.

In the Moto2 race (Inline-three four-stroke class), that race was won by Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider Celestino Vietti on the Kalex. Second was Flexbox HP40 rider Arón Canet on the Kalex, he was a tenth of a second behind Vietti at the end of the race. While, third was Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Augusto Fernández on the Kalax, he was half a second behind Vietti at the end of the race.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by GasGas Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara on the Gas Gas. Second was Boé SKX rider David Muñoz on the KTM, he was two seconds behind Guevara at the end of the race. While, third was Leopard Racing Moto3 rider Tatsuki Suzuki on the Honda, he was over two seconds behind Guevara at the end of the race.

Confirmed: Yamaha retains Fabio Quartararo till 2024

It was confirmed yesterday (2/6/22) that Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team will retain MotoGP Champion Fabio Quartararo through to the end of the 2024 MotoGP season.



Quartararo joined the works Yamaha team for 2021 replacing Valentino Rossi, winning the MotoGP Riders' Championship last season.

Quartararo currently leads in the standings, with a best finish of a race win at Portimão back in April.

2022 24 Hours of Nürburgring Review

Last weekend was the annual 24 Hours of Nürburgring (28-29th May). Audi Sport Team Phoenix was victories at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in their Audi R8 LMS Evo II, with team of Robin Frijns, Kelvin van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor and Frédéric Vervisch out on top to win this years 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 159 laps in total.



While the Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed BWT car came in second place in their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo; with team of Adam Christodoulou, Maximilian Götz and Fabian Schiller as drivers. They were twenty-three seconds behind the leaders at the end.

While the Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed BWT car came in in third place in their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo; with team of MaMaro Engel, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella as drivers. They were three and half minutes behind the leaders at the end of the 24 hours race.

Confirmed: Red Bull Racing retains Sergio Pérez till 2024

It was confirmed yesterday (31/5/22) that Red Bull Racing will retain Sergio Pérez through to the end of the 2024 Formula 1 season.



Pérez joined Red Bull from Racing Point for 2021 replacing Alexander Albon, finishing fourth in the drivers' standings last season.

Pérez currently sits third in the drivers' standings this season, best finish of a Grand Prix win at Monaco last week.

Overall, a very good decision from Red Bull to keep Sergio Pérez for next two seasons. It was rumoured for a while now that Pérez will remain with the team going into 2023.

And a wise choice for Red Bull going into the rest of 2022 and into 2023.
