Korean Grand Prix Review and a Youtube video

Another quick review this week, plus a YouTube video as well.

A boring race under the safety car due to the rain (wasn't heavy rain, more with the track draining) after the safety car, it wroke up. A good race not classic race, but a good race. With both Red Bulls' retiring, one careless and one luckless. With Webber crashing out with Rosberg as the victim, Webber blame himself for that incidence. And Vettel blown Renault with 10 laps to go, that cost both drivers the championship lead with Alonso now taking the lead with the win at Korean Grand Prix last Sunday. Hamilton second and Button didn't score a point. It makes a possible four way for the championship now with two races to go.

When we go to Brazil, Lotus will confirm the Renault deal. Guess what I found on
YouTube, former F1 driver Martin Brundle driving a 1986 Lotus Renault T98, the Fastest Lotus ever! driving at Silverstone. Enjoy!

A fast Korean Grand Prix Predictions

Once again another short blog, due to some coursework to do (filming and animation). I thought this race wouldn't happen, but it has so here's the Korean Grand Prix Predictions at Korean International Circuit in Yeongam. So my predictions Red Bull one -two (Vettel leading Webber), Alonso third, both McLarens' top five (Hamilton ahead of Button). Don't forget Robert Kubica in the Renault, Fillipe Massa in the Ferrari, Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes or Rubens Barrichello in the Williams Cosworth.

And finally an animation from Red Bull about the new Korean International Circuit they created to show the world. That is all, bye.

Contracts to Champs, and a quick Japanese Grand Prix review

This is going to be a short blog, due to some coursework to do. So I like to
contractions to these drivers winning championships last Sunday:

Contracts to Jorge Lorenzo and Toni Elias for winning the MotoGP and Moto2 championship at Sepang last Sunday. Contracts to
Ryuichi Kiyonari for winning his third British Superbikes championship at Oulton Park last weekend. Contracts to Mikhail Aleshin winning the Formula Renault 3.5 Series last Sunday at Barcelona. Contracts to Jason Plato for winning his second British Touring Cars Championship at Brands Hatch last Sunday.

Right a quick Japanese Grand Prix Review (got to do some coursework so no long one this time). Sebastian Vettel won the race with a Red Bull one-two with Mark Webber finish second. Fernando Alonso third, Jenson Button forth and Lewis Hamilton fifth place. Making Red Bull leading Constructor Championship even more with this result and Red Bull leading the Drivers Championship with Webber still leading. Only Red Bull can lose it now. All clear to go with South Korea next. Three to go.That is all, bye.

Other lately news, interesting story from last week and Japanese Grand Prix predictions

In the recent news lately from last blog I've wrote from Sunday night. Sauber have announce recently current GP2 runner up Sergio Perez will be driving for Sauber next season, becoming the first Mexican driving in Formula one for over 30 years, since Hector Rebaque driving a Brabham. He will also bringing in sponsorship from Mexican telecommunication's giant Telmex, which will see their logos on the Sauber car next season. He will teaming up with Kamui Kobayashi. This possibly be the least experience Sauber driver line up team, since 2001 when the drivers was Nick Hiedfied (only done 17 grand prixs) and Kimi Raikkonen (only 21 years old, no grand prixs and a rookie). As for the decision for hiring Sergio Perez, who hasn't any F1 experience yet. I think this could be a interesting signing to watch him at Bahrain next season. Where he will get some testing in the car to get in the groove of F1. Shame there is no in season testing anymore for the rookies, oh well at least there is a rookie test session at Abu Dhabi later at the end of the season.

Also Lotus Racing will be using Red Bull's gearboxes and hydraulic system from 2011, with Renault engines and kers system (worst kept secret, will be announce in a few weeks time). That will cut a few seconds on their laps next season.

Last week I was in the Ferrari shop at Regent Street in London. Where in the centre of the shop, there was a show car of a Ferrari Formula 1 car, which look like a 2005 car (Ferrari f2005) or 2006 car (Ferrari 248) on show. Interesting if you want to take a photo of the Ferrari will cost you £25. Some people try to take the photo on their phones or cameras but the bouncer says no photos. What a rip off Ferrari are doing this. So I try to take a photo of the Ferrari outside the shop, which was a terrible photo below, that only cost me 39p from a Boots store to print, so that's possibly the cheapest Ferrari ever, since the 1991 Minardi car that had a Ferrari engine. But, I did see a cheap Ferrari 458 Italia yesterday, but it was only a Hotwheels car for £1 in Asda though (should have bought it).

So predictions for Japanese Grand Prix this weekend. Alonso win, Vettel second and Webber third. Don't forget the McLarens, Robert Kubica in the Renault, Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes or Rubens Barrichello in the Williams Cosworth. That is all, bye.

Motegi MotoGP review and some old champions

Right Motegi Motogp Review and talking about Max Biaggi (World Superbikes), Dario Franchitti (Indy Cars) and Sebastian Loeb (WRC) sorry about the longest of the blog.

Good points

  • Casey Stoner (started 2nd, but lead from the start to finished with a win)
  • Andrea Dovizioso (on pole finished 2nd, much better)
  • Valentino Rossi (started 2nd, finished 3rd, great duel with Jorge Lorenzo throughout)
  • Colin Edwards (finished 5th, better from him for the past few races, much better, top privateer)
  • Marco Simoncelli (finished 6th, good duel with Edwards)
  • Alvaro Bautista (finished 7th)

Bad points

  • Jorge Lorenzo (started and finished 4th no help from Rossi)
  • Dani Pedrosa (collarbone injury five minutes into practice, unable to race championship over?)
  • Ben Spies (poor second lap with Hayden, still recovery drive to finish 8th)
  • Loris Capirossi (another dnf at end of race for poor Capirex)
  • Anyone on a Ducati (minus casey of course, Hayden 12th, Barbera 13th, Espargaro 14th, Kaillo 15th)
Overall, a brilliant race altogether, expressly with the Duel (best between the pair of them since Catalonia last season) with Rossi and Lorenzo, should Rossi should have lead Lorenzo pass him? NO, teams mates or not it was great racing, never like each other as team mates, going to hate each over next season on different bikes.

As for Lorenzos championship, he will win the championship either at Sepang or Phillip Island, be cool and you will win it. As for Pedrosa, forget the championship this season, 69 points behind Jorge (mission impossable in my opinion to catch up) if I was Dani, I would recover for Estroil and wait till next season to challenge for the World Championship.

Don't forget Casey Stoner winning the race, well well (no typo) done Casey, when you look for any other Ducati's, not even finishing in the top 10. Casey is a very special talent on that bike.

In other news, former MotoGP star Max Biaggi won his first World Superbike championship last
week in Imola ridding his Aprilia RSV4, his first championship since the four 250cc championships in the mid 1990s. While yesterday Biaggis team Aprilia won the World Superbike constructors championship at Maney Cours. Well done Aprilia and well done Max Biaggi.

Dario Franchitti won his third Indy Car championship. In beating Australian Will Power by six points, due to will Powers dnf at the final round at Homstead. While Franchitti finished eight to clinch the championship. Making Dario Franchitti the first back to back Indy Car drivers championship since Sam Hornish Jr (2001 and 2002) and the first for a Ganassi driver since 1997 and 1998 with Alex Zinardi.

I think either Dario or Will would have been great champion this season, both drivers would have deeply earned the championship. So with Dario winning his third Indy Car championship, are we going to see Dario winning a forth in five years next season? Wait and see. Anyway well done Dario for this season.

Also, yesterday Sebastian Loeb winning the Rally de France, which makes him winning his sixtieth rally in his career and a seventh World Rally Championship in a row in his Citroen C4. It is incredible winning seven in a row for Sebastian Loeb but winning sixty rally within eight years. I would like to see him next season, if Sebastian wins a eighth championship with a brand new car (Citroen DS3, the rules will change from WRC rules to S2000 rules where the cars will be 1600cc turbo engines) were he won perviously with the Xsara and the current car the C4. So contractions to Sebastian for winning his seventh championship.

Predictions for the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix later in the week and a story from last week which is quite funny. Bye for now.
